2026-05-19 — Mobile-first overhaul + payments groundwork
- Mobile navigation: tap the hamburger top-left to slide out the dashboard menu. Properties, Tenants, Readings, Invoices and Report a bug are all one tap away.
- Properties, Tenants, Readings and Invoices now render as readable cards on a phone — no more clipped columns or off-screen Edit buttons.
- Tenant assignment now shows an "Assigning tenant…" progress indicator so it's clear something is happening on slower connections.
- Free plan formalised: one property per account, with a friendly upgrade prompt when you're ready for more.
- Help & documentation pages added: see /help for guides on readings, WhatsApp invoices and FAQs.
2026-05-18 — Custom auth domain + email notifications
- Sign-in screen now reads "Sign in to auth.stimafy.online" instead of the long generic AWS domain — looks like you'd expect.
- Bug reports and contact-form submissions now send ticket-style confirmation emails to you and a notification to our support inbox, so nothing falls through the cracks.
- Custom domain live: stimafy.online. The old amplifyapp.com URL still works during the transition.
2026-05-17 — Report-a-bug + Talk-to-us forms
- New Report a bug form: paste the error, pick a severity, send. We auto-capture the page you were on, your browser version, and your account email so we don't have to ask.
- New Talk to us form for questions, feature requests, pricing chats — replies within one business day.
- Database keep-warm: dashboard loads are faster after periods of inactivity (we ping our DB every 4 minutes so it stays awake).
2026-05-16 — Legal pages + homepage polish
- Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and DPA pages now live — see the footer.
- Privacy framed under the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019, with AWS's Cape Town region as the data residency.
- Homepage cleaned up; sign-out from any page now works correctly.
Earlier
End-to-end monthly billing cycle
- Readings: paste your KPLC monthly SMS to capture the real per-kWh rate, then enter previous/current sub-meter readings per unit.
- Bills: bills are auto-created when you save a reading for a unit with a tenant. Status moves draft → sent → paid.
- WhatsApp invoices: one-tap send opens WhatsApp with the full breakdown (previous reading, new reading, kWh used, rate, total).
- Reminders: bills that have been sent but not paid get a friendly reminder button. We track how many reminders you've sent and when.
- Dashboard: outstanding, collected, sent-awaiting, drafts — all computed from real data.
Properties, units, tenants
- Multi-unit properties with optional sub-meter numbers per unit.
- Tenants can be assigned and unassigned ("move out") without losing history.
- Phone + email per tenant; phone drives the WhatsApp link.
What's next
- M-Pesa & Stripe payments so paid plans self-serve instead of going through us.
- A "Capture via photo" flow that reads sub-meter digits directly — no more typing.
- A KPLC planned-outage banner so you can warn tenants ahead of scheduled interruptions.
